On June 16, 2025, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly released Resolution No. 1663/NQ-UBTVQH15 regarding the arrangement of Dong Thap Province's commune-level administrative entities in 2025. Following the restructuring, Dong Thap province has 102 commune-level administrative divisions, including 82 communes and 20 wards.

Based on the Government's Scheme No. 377/DA-CP dated May 9, 2025, on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of the (new) Dong Thap Province in 2025, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly decides to arrange and establish the following commune-level administrative units in Dong Thap Province:

1. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Sa Rai Town, Binh Phu Commune (Tan Hong District), and Tan Cong Chi Commune into a new commune named Tan Hong Commune.
2. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Thong Binh Commune and Tan Thanh A Commune into a new commune named Tan Thanh Commune.
3. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Tan Thanh B Commune and Tan Ho Co Commune into a new commune named Tan Ho Co Commune. 
4. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Tan Phuoc Commune (Tan Hong District) and An Phuoc Commune into a new commune named An Phuoc Commune.
5. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Thuong Thoi Tien Town, Thuong Phuoc 1 Commune, and Thuong Phuoc 2 Commune into a new commune named Thuong Phuoc Commune.
6. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Long Khanh A Commune and Long Khanh B Commune into a new commune named Long Khanh Commune.
7. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Long Thuan Commune, Phu Thuan A Commune, and a portion of the natural area and population of Phu Thuan B Commune into a new commune named Long Phu Thuan Commune.
8. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Phu Thanh B Commune and An Hoa Commune into a new commune named An Hoa Commune.
9. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Phu Duc Commune and Phu Hiep Commune into a new commune named Tam Nong Commune.
10. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Phu Thanh A Commune and Phu Tho Commune into a new commune named Phu Tho Commune.
11. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Tram Chim Town and Tan Cong Sinh Commune into a new commune named Tram Chim Commune.
12. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Phu Cuong Commune (Tam Nong District), Hoa Binh Commune, and a portion of the natural area and population of Gao Giong Commune into a new commune named Phu Cuong Commune.
13. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of An Phong Commune, Phu Ninh Commune, and An Long Commune into a new commune named An Long Commune.
14. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Tan My Commune, Tan Phu Commune (Thanh Binh District), Thanh Binh Town, and a portion of the natural area and population of Tan Thanh Commune (Thanh Binh District) into a new commune named Thanh Binh Commune.
15. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Phu Loi Commune and the remainder of Tan Thanh Commune (Thanh Binh District) after the arrangement under Clause 14 of this Article into a new commune named Tan Thanh Commune.
16. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Binh Thanh Commune (Thanh Binh District) and Binh Tan Commune into a new commune named Binh Thanh Commune.
17. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Tan Binh Commune, Tan Hoa Commune (Thanh Binh District), Tan Quoi Commune, Tan Hue Commune, Tan Long Commune, and the remainder of Phu Thuan B Commune after the arrangement under Clause 7 of this Article into a new commune named Tan Long Commune.
18. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of My An Town, My An Commune, and My Hoa Commune into a new commune named Thap Muoi Commune.
19. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Phu Dien Commune and Thanh My Commune into a new commune named Thanh My Commune.
20. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Lang Bien Commune, My Dong Commune, and My Qui Commune into a new commune named My Qui Commune.
21. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Tan Kieu Commune and Doc Binh Kieu Commune into a new commune named Doc Binh Kieu Commune.
22. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Thanh Loi Commune and Truong Xuan Commune into a new commune named Truong Xuan Commune.
23. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Hung Thanh Commune (Thap Muoi District) and Phuong Thinh Commune into a new commune named Phuong Thinh Commune.
24. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Phong My Commune and the remainder of Gao Giong Commune after the arrangement under Clause 12 of this Article into a new commune named Phong My Commune.
25. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of Phuong Tra Commune and Ba Sao Commune into a new commune named Ba Sao Commune.
26. Reorganize the entire natural area and population of My Tho Town, My Hoi Commune (Cao Lanh District), My Xuong Commune, and My Tho Commune into a new commune named My Tho Commune.
