Through the program to summarize the Project to Improve the Quality of Vietnamese Fruits, offered by the Netherlands-Vietnam Health Committee, and implemented from December 2021 until the present.

As a demonstration model for mango production, the project chose Mr. Dang Phuoc Hon's mango field at Hoa Long hamlet, Hoa An commune, to guarantee export quality and safety for growers and buyers. Twenty-five mango-producing farmers in the commune of Hoa An are involved in the project.

The product has high uniformity and can be preserved longer; it has met export standards for the European market; after two implementation seasons, the project has helped mango output increase by 30–50%; input costs have decreased by 30–40 million VND/ha; and it has helped increase income from 120–150 million VND on the same area (the total area of project implementation for the first crop is 0.5 hectares; the next crop increases to 1 ha).

Mr. Tran Van Hau, Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Farmers' Association, claims that the initiative enhances social and environmental efficiency in addition to economic efficiency. Producers that take part in the study receive assistance with fertilizer optimization, technical training, data collecting, analysis, and consulting. This will help to enhance farmers' abilities gradually and make a positive impact on long-term environmental preservation.
