Mr. Pham Thien Nghia - Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province and leaders of relevant provincial departments welcomed the delegation on the afternoon of March 13.

Mr. VanNaSak Xattakoun thanked the leaders of Dong Thap province for welcoming the delegation and expressed that he was very impressed with the province's attractions and tourism as well as the agricultural development of Dong Thap province. That was also the reason why Munlapamok district organized a delegation to learn from the experience of Dong Thap province to apply and deploy locally.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Pham Thien Nghia province was pleased to welcome the delegation of Munlapamok district. At the meeting, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee shared several of the province's agricultural strengths, with key commodities such as rice, fruit trees, ornamental trees, lotus and pangasius, and believed that, under the leadership of the District Governor, the socio-economic development of Munlapamok district will constantly develop in the coming time.

Chairman of the Dong Thap People's Committee emphasized that the province was ready to support the district in agricultural development and to support human resource training in that field. Dong Thap also wished to learn from Munlapamok's experience to strengthen links and cooperation between the two sides.

As planned, the delegation of Munlapamok district had their onsite visits at a number of locations such as: Tan Quy Dong ornamental tree cooperatives, Sa Dec rose field tourist area, Homestay of Frog Flower house; visit and work with Western Farm Company Limited – one of 02 enterprises licensed to use "Cao Lanh geographical indications for mango products"; learn about the deployment of "My mango tree" by farmers in My Xuong commune, visit the aquaculture area in Cao Lanh district.

In 2022, leaders of 02 provinces of Dong Thap and Champasak signed  a Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation between 02 provinces in the period of 2022 - 2025 in a variety of fields.

In January 2024,  the delegation of Champasak province, Lao People's Democratic Republic visited and wished Tet to leaders of Dong Thap province.
