of Dong Thap province was delighted by the development of relations
between Dong Thap and the provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia

Mr. Pham Thien Nghia – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee/Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province expressed his appreciation for the affection that leaders of 03 provinces of Prey Veng, Banteay Mencheay and Pursat have given to Dong Thap and considered that invaluable spiritual gift, lasting forever with time and a bridge to tighten the close relationship, solidarity and friendship for the common development of the two peoples and the prosperity of Vietnam and Cambodia.

Chairman of Dong Thap People's Committee shared with the delegation of 03 provinces about some outstanding results in socio-economic development of Dong Thap last year. Particularly for the Kingdom of Cambodia market, in 2023, Dong Thap province would continue to encourage and create the best conditions to enhance goods trading between the two sides.

In order to deepen the comprehensive, close cooperation relationship in all fields between provinces, Mr. Pham Thien Nghia said that in 2024, Dong Thap and 03 provinces: Prey Veng, Banteay Mencheay and Pursat need to promote and actively implement more effectively the contents of the signed Memorandum of Cooperation; proactively coordinate and solve difficulties. In the short term, Dong Thap would continue to propose the Governments of the two countries to develop Thuong Phuoc International Border Gate into Thuong Phuoc – Co Ro Ka international border gates both by road and water way, meeting the needs and aspirations of people and businesses of the two sides in facilitating the transportation of goods across the border.

With the results of Dong Thap province achieved in 2023, Mr. Suon Somalin - Governor of Prey Veng  province, Mr. Oum Reatrey - Governor/Chairman of the Party Committee of Banteay Mencheay province and Mr. Mok Ra - Chairman of the Pursat Provincial Council congratulated Dong Thap province on its diverse achievements in the socio-economic field; at the same time affirming to maintain, develop the relationship of solidarity, friendship and cooperation in various fields between the provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Dong Thap province.

On the occasion of the traditional Tet of Vietnam, the Governors of 03 provinces: Prey Veng, Banteay Mencheay and Pursat wished the leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee armed forces and people of Dong Thap province happy and to successfully complete all assigned tasks.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province met with the Governor of Prey Veng province. Leaders of 02 provinces exchanged views on cooperation orientations between the two provinces in the coming time, especially promoting border economic development, implementing the memorandum of understanding signed between the two provinces.
