The delegation lead by Lieutenant General Young Mao - Deputy Director General of the General Administration of Defense Services - in charge of coordinating international relations and the Information and Communications Department of the General Directorate of Defense Services, Ministry of National Defense of Cambodia.

In addition to sending greetings and wishes for traditional Tet holiday to all people and leaders of Dong Thap province, Lieutenant General Young Mao hoped that in the coming time, Dong Thap province would create conditions for the Information and Communications Department (under the General Department of National Defense Services) to exchange experiences,  learn information skills at provincial agencies. Thereby, promoting information and communication work, in order to attract businesses to explore investment between the two countries.

On this occasion, the Director General of the General Department of National Defense Services had a letter of greeting to the leaders of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province.

Mr. Pham Thien Nghia – Chairman of the provincial People's Committee thanked the General Director of the General Department of National Defense Services and was pleased to welcome the delegation to visit and wish for Tet. The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee was excited when the traditional relationship between the two countries was increasingly tightened and developed; The General Department of National Defense Services always pays attention to and creates cohesion in the relationship between the General Department and the provinces of the Mekong Delta, including Dong Thap.

Mr. Pham Thien Nghia shared about the results of socio-economic development of Dong Thap province in 2023, exchanges, cooperation and trade exchanges between Dong Thap people, businesses and provinces of Cambodia have always been promoted. The coming time will open up more opportunities for cooperation when the Government agrees to upgrade Thuong Phuoc international border gate into an international border gate by road and river.
