Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee – Mr. Phan Van Thang delivered a speech to welcome the Delegation

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Mr. Phan Van Thang informed about the results of the recent business trip to Korea and the steps the province has taken to prepare for the implementation of the cooperation agreement with Gyeonggi-do province (Korea). Mr. Phan Van Thang emphasized five key contents of cooperation exchange: bringing seasonal laborers to work in Korea; implementing a program to bring international students to study and work in Korea; a long-term and comprehensive cooperation program in agriculture; promoting exchange activities in culture, physical training, and sports; and organizing Vietnam Day activities in Gyeonggi-do province.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, proposed collaboration with Yeoncheon district on the following topics: promoting agricultural trade between the two localities; establishing and operating the Agricultural Service Center; and connecting, supporting, and sharing experiences in the two localities' agricultural development policies.

Mr. Kim Deok Hyun, Chairman of Yeoncheon District, emphasized that this working session would be a significant milestone in expanding exchanges and cooperation, as well as further strengthening and promoting exchanges in the economy, culture, and tourism between Yeoncheon District and Dong Thap Province. Mr. Kim Deok Hyun expressed his interest in the proposed cooperation's contents and pledged that Yeoncheon district would actively support and effectively implement the above contents.

The People's Committees of Dong Thap province and Yeoncheon district are expected to sign an agreement on general cooperation principles to serve as the foundation for implementing the next coordination plan. The signing of a comprehensive cooperation program between Dong Thap and Gyeonggi-do province (Korea) will take place in June 2023, contributing to the promotion of cooperation in goods exchange and trade, as well as the creation of labor opportunities, jobs, and high incomes for Dong Thap workers, as well as the socio-economic development of the two localities.
