In 2023, Providing Agricultural Training for 1.640 Employees
This is the target number of agricultural workers trained in the plan, which was recently promulgated by the Provincial People's Committee in the Dong Thap Province Plan on Agricultural Vocational Training for Rural Laborers in 2023.
In which, vocational training for rural workers is 1.560 employees; vocational training for cooperative directors is 80 employees. The rate of trained laborers is 75.4%, of which vocationally trained workers account for 54.2% and trained agricultural workers account for 44.5%.
Agricultural vocational training for laborers aims to create a team of professional farmers who will be the driving force in the process of rural economic development, creating a rural workforce with the knowledge and skills needed for new socioeconomic development.
Dong Thap province organized 70 vocational training classes in 2022, with 1.740 participants, meeting 96% of the target compared to the plan (1.820 employees). The total number of farmers who finished their studies and received certificates was 1.725. According to locality reports, the number of people who have completed vocational training and are working or looking for work in households (99%) helps to increase family income.
